What Is Covered and What Is Not
Written in plain English so you know exactly where you stand. This guarantee is in addition to any rights you have under California law and to the paint manufacturer's own product warranty.
What is covered
For 7 years from the completion date on your certificate, we guarantee our workmanship on every surface we prepared and painted. If the paint fails because of how we prepared the surface or applied the coating, we fix it at no cost to you. Failure means:
- Peeling
- Blistering or bubbling
- Flaking or chipping
- Cracking or alligatoring of the coating
- Loss of adhesion from the surface we painted
What is not covered
- Normal wear and tear, scuffs, scratches, marks, stains, dirt or fingerprints
- Fading, chalking or color change caused by sun and weather
- Damage from water, leaks, roof or plumbing failures, moisture inside walls, condensation or poor drainage
- Structural movement, settling, new cracks in stucco, drywall, plaster or wood
- Rot, rust, mold, mildew or insect damage in the material under the paint
- Failure of previous coats of paint we did not apply
- Surfaces we advised against painting or repairing, where you asked us to paint anyway
- Surfaces we did not prepare or paint, and paint or material supplied by the customer
- Horizontal and high-wear surfaces: decks, floors, steps, handrails, garage floors, countertops
- Caulk and sealant shrinkage, or cracks at joints and seams
- Damage from other trades, renovation, cleaning chemicals, pressure washing, pets, accidents, vandalism, fire, earthquake, flood or other acts of nature
- Any repair or touch-up done by someone other than Master's Pro Painting Inc
What we do about it
We inspect the area, then re-prepare and repaint the affected area. We supply the labor and the paint. We use the same product and color where it is still available. We match the existing finish as closely as we can, but because paint weathers over time we cannot promise an exact match between new and old areas.
Conditions
- The final invoice for the job has been paid in full.
- You tell us within 30 days of first noticing the problem, by phone, text or email.
- You give us reasonable access to inspect and repair.
- The guarantee belongs to the customer and property named on the certificate. It does not transfer to a new owner.
- Our total responsibility is limited to repairing or repainting the affected area and never exceeds the original contract price for the work.

We offer 7 years because we do the prep properly, we use quality products, and we do not cut corners to finish faster. If we did the job right, there is nothing to fix. If we did not, we want to be the ones who make it right.
